About

My Name is Arianna Benedict. Most people call me Ana (Ah-nuh) for short. Birth has been a passion of mine for a long time. When I was in my late teens, I knew I wanted to work in the birth world, but I wasn't sure how exactly. Then I heard of Doulas. It wasn't until I went to my sisters first birth that I knew that I truly wanted to be a doula. I saw a need that I could fill.I believe EVERY woman should be able to obtain doula services if she desires to do so. My goal as a doula is to help you have the best birth experience possible.I do that by providing:Evidence based information. I believe that if you don't know what your options are, you don't have any. I can provide help with creating your birth preferences (birth plan). I want to help you to feel informed and confident about your birth.Emotional Support. I will be there to encourage you, listen to you and be your shoulder to cry on. I understand that birth can be tough, but you are too.Physical support. I will do my best to help ease your pain and bring comfort. Whether it be by helping you change positions, holding your hand, counter pressure, massage or breastfeeding support, etc.I have taken Birth & Postpartum Doula training through DONA international and I'm a Certified Childbirth Educator through Birth Beautifully.I live in Paris, Michigan with my best friend and husband Devan, our daughter Alice and our son Josiah and our daughter Lucy and youngest son Lucas.
